Diploma in Library and Information Technology. ( DLIT )
Diploma in Library and Information Technology provides a sound knowledge of library and information technology. The Diploma holder receives a sound practical training with good theoretical knowledge. Hands on experience is provided during the course. Seminars by best librarians in delhi also provide daily life experiences. The DLIT course was started in 2003 which is open to C.Lib Sc., Dip. Lib.Sc., B.Lib.Sc., M.Lib.Sc degree holders. However the minimum eligibility for admission is C.Lib. The students are given hands on training in six selected library software packages commonly in use in libraries. The DLIT is six months durarion course (January- June and July - December) twise in year. One can apply for admission in the month of December and June respectivily.
Prof S Das Gupta Memorial Lecture Series was instituted by the Association in 1967. Prof Das Gupta was the Founder Director of the School Of Library Science.
Certificate in Library Science ( CLS )
The DLA is also running a certificate course in library science which is certified by the Govt. of India. This course is certainly a big plus point to ones resume. The certificate awarded here have a huge demand all over Delhi. The minimum eligibility for admission is 10+2. The students are given one month training in well developed libraries. The C.Lib. is one year durarion course (July - June. One can apply for admission in the month of June.
