School of Library Science Courses

DLA has been conducting training courses at the certificate level since 1955. Delhi Library Association is proud of the tremendous success it has achieved by conducting training course at the certificate level. Nearly 6000 students have already undergone the training. The Certificate course is very popular and is attracting a large number of applicants for admission to the course every year. In view of the heavy rush, The School of Library science obliged to select every year about 100 candidates from amongest the applicants. It is a part-time course, conducted in two shifts. The duration of the course is one academic year. The course contents are constantly being reviewed to introduce changes for meeting the needs of the time. The training is imparted with the highest standards. Best Delhi librarians and teachers with long record of teaching experience are associated with the training programme. All of them work in an honorary capacity. Since long, the course has been recognized by the Government of India for the purpose of employment. Delhi Library Association is proud of its trainees who not only have good job opportunities but also acquip themselves with latest library techniques in the places of their work.
